Windjammer cruises

People talk all the time about taking the "trip of a lifetime" and they can't figure out what to do, where to go, or how to get there. For the lucky people that have already had the pleasure and excitement of experienceing a Windjammer cruise, they had the trip and experience of a lifetime all in one week!

It was a terrible day when back in 2007 when the popular Windjammer Barefoot Cruises shut down its operation. The company promised they would reopen and give more and more people to take this unique cruise, but due to the sputtering worldwide economy, they never again sailed. People from all walks of life who had enjoyed Windjammer ships were out of luck for future cruises.

There were so many great things about these Windjammer cruises. The ships were small, the staff was great, and the people all were there to have a good time. The other cruisers were a virtual melting pot. People North and South America, as well as European cities like London, Amsterdam and Mardid came looking for a week of adventure and relaxation. Many of these people continue to holiday together to this day.

Sailing Windjammer made you feel like a pirate. Sailing the open waters, a care-free attitude and anything you want at your fingertips.

Each day aboard one of the Windjammer tall-ships you day would begin at sunrise. Breakfast like all the other meals was prepared by an executive chef. The rest of the day was your to do as much and as little as you wanted. Sailing the Caribbean is a cathartic experience and one not to be forgotten. An excuisite dinner would top off your evening, and nobody knew what the night would bring. The next day you get up and do it all over again.

Many people from many different places miss crusing Windjammer.
